Earth Works: Dowsing for a Healthier Planet

Friday, June 23 to Sunday June 25, 2006
The 19th Annual Convention!

Dear Dowsing Friend ....
A letter from Convener Mark Brewer

This June, we will be holding our 19th annual Convention on June 23-26 at Humber North Campus in Toronto. Based on feedback from our members, the Board made the decision to move the convention location to the Humber facilities. Parking is convenient (and free on the weekend), the lodging facilities are superior (at a lower price); and the meeting room, Marketplace, dining and lodging are all located close to one another. No more need to walk and walk (and get lost) like I have done the last couple of years. By moving to the Residence at Humber, we are providing our members with a wonderful setting adjacent to the grounds of the Humber arboretum.

The theme for this year's convention is Earth Works: Dowsing for a Healthier Planet. The convention proper begins on Friday evening, June 23, and runs through to late afternoon on Sunday, June 25. Our keynote speaker is Christan Hummel, a dowser and author from San Diego, California. Other presenters include: Sandra Itenson Sweetman, Jeanette McCullough, Mary Swaine, Nicholas Ashfield, William Oulton, Diana Atherton Davis and Dennis Gaumond. Information about Christan and many of our other speakers can be found in the "bio" section in this mailing.

On Friday during the day, we will have our traditional dowsing schools and a fantastic workshop. The morning Basic Dowsing School will be taught by Klaus Stalschuss and the afternoon Advanced Dowsing School will be taught by Margaret Ball. There will also be a pre-convention workshop entitled Beginner Light Language conducted by Sandra Itenson Sweetman. Christan Hummel will be conducting our post-convention workshop on Monday, June 26, entitled Working with Nature to Heal the Earth. Details on these schools, workshops and the regular convention program can be found in this packet, along with a registration form for all convention activities. Additional information is on the CSD website.

In keeping with this year's theme, many of our convention presenters will be focusing on the Earth. We will come to understand her better and to know how to assist her more. An emphasis will also be on sound - using sound and vibration to transform ourselves and the earth. The Saturday evening program will be a celebration of sound through music, led by Diana Atherton Davis, William Oulton and Dennis Goumand.

In addition to the inexpensive dorm rooms at Humber College, there are also one- and two-bedroom suites available, which have bathrooms in suite. A full breakfast is included - at a lodging price less than last year. Full details can be found on the lodging sheet enclosed.

I'm looking forward to seeing you in June! If you have any questions about registration, or housing, just contact us at 1-888-588-8958. Blessings,

Mark J. Brewer
