Betty and David E. Stanger, Co-Presidents 1991 - 1993

Betty & David Stanger
David started dowsing some 50 years ago when a water works foreman was looking for a 4" steel water pipe close to an old hydrant. The foreman had "L" rods with handles 10" long and the arms run at least 18" long. They were made out of copper electrical wire and had been used for high voltage service. The foreman stated that these were the only ones that would work; for him this was a true statement.

In September 1986 Dave attended the ASD dowsing school, a two-day affair, and was quickly shown that many other things could be done with dowsing. Since that time David took his son to a healing clinic in Montréal, was told by Rev. Sharon Forrest that he was a healer: he hasn't stopped since.

In 1988/9 David was one of the founding members of the CSD He is a past president of the Association and was the editor of their Journal the "Canadian Dowser".

David currently does water dowsing, and was in Jamaica for seven days looking for water for at the Jamaica Jamaica Hotel. He and his wife also spent a month dowsing in Scotland working with Standing Stones etc., he also made a presentation to the Edinborough Dowsers. He is also an ordained priest "After the Order of Melchizedek". Almost all work is now of a spiritual nature, from the removal of discarnates, or entities to the clearing of blockages from conception to present day and the clearing of houses of earth energies harmful to humans plus electromagnetic energy. Clients extend across Canada and California and Hawaii as well as some in Europe. David also has been given techniques for assisting people who sincerely wish to remove most forms of addiction. David presently has the privilege of channelling Seraphim who prepares people for the great changes that are taking place on this wonderful Earth.

David is still involved with "Standing Stone Circles" and has created a circle on his own property, along with a double labyrinth. He previously had constructed an energy wheel.

Life is ever changing and we are all called upon to do many things.

Betty Stanger

David and I met in the first year of college at Sir George Williams University.  We never came unstuck; I earned a B A. and David a B Sc.

David took the basic ASD Dowsing  course in 1986, I was also at the ASD Convention but it took me two years time before I leaned to dowse, also at the ASD, I was a skeptic.  Essentially the idea of being “left behind” spurred me on.

In the early days of CSD I took immense pride in being Co-President, a carry-over from our Square Dancing days when almost all positions on the executive were filled by couples.

I was and still am the “GROUND” for David and am able to fill in the gaps.  Intuition is my strength, but I still have to remind myself to pay attention to what I am being told and then act on it.
